Parents in Nairobi have been warned about teenagers abusing dangerous new street drugs, known as 'whites' or 'blues', which cause severe, zombie-like hallucinations. Nairobi City County’s Environment Chief Officer, Geoffrey Mosiria, issued the caution on Saturday, September 6, urging parents to be vigilant.

• These highly addictive drugs are reportedly being sold without prescription at some Kenyan chemists.
• Mosiria emphasized the drug is restricted, meant only for medical prescription in mental health facilities.
• The county government is collaborating with NACADA and other agencies to combat the drug's spread, appealing to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) to investigate pharmacies and reform access regulations.
