President William Ruto is traveling to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Sunday to attend the second Africa Climate Summit, a high-level gathering focused on driving Africa’s leadership in climate action and green growth. This marks his third international trip in three months and his third visit to Ethiopia this year.

• President Ruto will witness the signing of the Cooperation Framework for the Africa Green Industrialisation Initiative (AGII).
• State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed confirmed the trip, highlighting Ruto’s role as chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC).
• President Ruto will also be the chief guest at the inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, a crucial power source for Kenya and Ethiopia, which will help address Kenya’s peak demand now above 2,392MW.
