A Pakistani national, Ahmad Shabbir, was rescued from a mob in Nakuru by police after being accused of swindling people through fraudulent schemes. He is currently in police custody, while two accomplices remain at large.

• Ahmad Shabbir was arrested by Nakuru North sub-county officers after reports of a mob attempting to lynch him.
• The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stated that Shabbir had been linked to past swindling cases and was out on bond.
• He was previously released on charges of obtaining money by false pretenses and ordered to report to Ahero police station on August 20, 2025.
