Police in Nakuru rescued a Pakistani national from a mob attempting to lynch him over alleged fraud involving locals. The suspect, identified as Shabbir, was reportedly out on bond for similar charges from Ahero Police Station and failed to report back on August 20, 2025 as ordered, continuing his fraudulent activities.

• Shabbir was accompanied by two accomplices who escaped and are being pursued by authorities.
• The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) linked Shabbir to multiple fraud cases in Nakuru.
• Another fraudster was apprehended in Lang'ata sub-county after allegedly conning a Pakistani national out of Ksh4,506,600 (USD 34,800) in a fake gold scam at Sultan Suites, Ngong View Estate.
