Sudan's El-Fasher is under siege, forcing thousands to flee a deadly assault by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Survivors recount horrific journeys marked by starvation, violence, and the daily threat of bombings and drone strikes as they desperately seek safety.

• Over 260,000 people are trapped in El-Fasher, with the only escape route being a 70-kilometre (43-mile) trail to Tawila.
