A matatu driver affiliated with Embassava Sacco was arrested in Embakasi after assaulting a traffic police officer and injuring another while in custody. The incident began when the driver, Jared Nyanduro Onyancha, was stopped for operating a vehicle without a service license.

• Police officer Jackline Naeku was assaulted by Onyancha after he crashed his matatu near TAJ Mall.
• Another police officer, Samuel Njuguna, was bitten by Onyancha on his left hand at the Embakasi Police Station search room.
• The suspect, Jared Nyanduro Onyancha, is in custody awaiting arraignment, while both officers were treated and discharged.
