The High Court has temporarily suspended a government directive that mandated all state and county governments to exclusively use the new Electronic Government Procurement (eGP) system for tenders.

• Justice Bahati Mwamuye issued conservatory orders halting the mandatory enforcement of the eGP system, allowing tender submissions in both electronic and manual forms as per Section 77(1) of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act.
• The ruling affects a circular from the National Treasury and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
• The orders will remain in force until October 15, 2025, unless extended or varied.
