Nairobi City Thunder and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) women are on the verge of clinching the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) 2024-2025 Premier League titles, each needing just one more win in their respective best-of-five series.

• Thunder leads KPA Men 2-0, winning Game One 81-47 and Game Two 93-79, and could secure their title retention this weekend at Nyayo Gymnasium.
• The KPA Women’s team also holds a 2-0 lead over Zetech Sparks, with victories of 49-48 in Game One and 54-49 in Game Two, positioning them to reclaim the title lost last season.
• Thunder remains undefeated locally since 2023 and is aiming for a slot in the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers.
