Sumac Microfinance Bank has secured US$ 2 million in expansion capital from Noblestride Capital, significantly boosting its capacity to provide loans to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) throughout Kenya. This latest fundraising brings the total capital raised by Sumac through arrangements with Noblestride to approximately US$ 7.5 million.

• MSMEs account for 98% of all businesses in Kenya and contribute over 30% to the GDP, but often face obstacles in securing financing.
