Two suspects have been charged in an Eldoret court for robbing and injuring Citizen TV reporter Steve Shitera, stealing over Ksh. 712,000 worth of equipment and cash belonging to Royal Media Services (RMS). They also faced a second charge for robbing another individual.

• The accused, Geoffrey Wanjala and Andrew Ng'anga, denied the charges before Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Kein Odhiambo.
• The robbery occurred on August 29, 2025, at Kamukunji West market in Uasin Gishu county, with the suspects armed with crude weapons.
• Stolen items included a camera, laptop, and Ksh. 300,000 in cash from Shitera, and a mobile phone and Ksh. 80,000 from Raphex Oyugi.
