Renson Ingonga, Director of Public Prosecutions, has been elected as a Supernumerary Member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) during their 30th Annual Conference and General Meeting in Singapore on September 9, 2025. This follows his appointment as President of the Africa Association of Prosecutors (APA) in July 2024.

• Ingonga's election to the IAP Executive Committee adds additional expertise and regional representation.

• The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) stated this election is a significant milestone for Kenya and the African continent.

• Kenya also hosted the 23rd Commonwealth Heads of Prosecuting Agencies Conference (HOPAC) in Mombasa in July, showcasing its commitment to international collaboration.
