Kenya's Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibition (MICE) tourism sector is significantly hampered by a lack of crucial data and political instability, despite its substantial global buying power of over $26 billion (Sh3.354 trillion). Stakeholders at the Africa MICE Summit in Nairobi highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive data to unlock Africa's full potential in this "silent industry."

• According to Mulemwa Moongwa from the MPI Africa Club Project, the absence of data prevents Africa from influencing global decisions in the MICE sector.
