An Administrative Officer at the Kisii County Assembly, David Geoffrey Ombiro, has been charged with forgery and fraudulently securing employment using falsified documents. He appeared before the Kisii Anti-Corruption Court and denied all charges.

• Ombiro allegedly altered his birth year from 1967 to 1973 on his birth certificate to obtain a new National Identity Card.
• The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested Ombiro following investigations into his employment records.
• He was released on a bond of Ksh.150,000 with one surety or a cash bail of Ksh.70,000. His case will be mentioned on September 25, 2025.
