The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party’s National Elections Board (NEB) is being urged to intervene in Nyando Sub-county to resolve internal wrangles, which have stalled county-level party elections in Kisumu County.

• Samuel Nyabinda, ODM Secretary for Kisumu Central Sub-county, stated that Kisumu is lagging behind other regions in electing representatives due to these disputes.
• Grassroots election results in Nyando, including Ken Ooko becoming chairperson, have been challenged, causing further disarray.
• The NEB has announced elections in areas like Siaya, but excluded Kisumu due to the ongoing issues in Nyando.
