Deaflympics silver medalist Serah Wangari Kimani has qualified for the 25th Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan after winning the women's 10,000m race at the national trials held at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi on September 11, 2025. She finished with a time of 41:04.5, securing her spot in the upcoming Games scheduled for November 15-26.

• Wangari aims to convert her previous silver medal into gold in Tokyo and will also compete in the 5000m category.
• Deaflympics double bronze medalist Nancy Kendagor Jebichii and Juster Kwamesa finished second and third, respectively.
• Kenya had a strong showing at the previous Deaflympics in Brazil (2022), bagging a total of 24 medals (5 gold, 7 silver, 12 bronze).
