The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has scheduled party primaries from Wednesday, September 24, to Saturday, September 27, ahead of the November 27, 2025, by-elections. This move is to select candidates for seats contested by more than one aspirant, with the party aiming to reclaim its former strongholds and expand its representation.

• ODM's National Elections Board (NEB) Chairperson Emily Awita assured that primaries would be "free, fair, transparent, and credible."
• ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohamed warned against "infiltrators" from other parties in areas where ODM is dominant, such as Kasipul, Ugunja, and Magarini.
• The party issued direct tickets to uncontested candidates, including Harrison Kombe for Magarini constituency and seven ward representative candidates.
