The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has released a revised draft for the Wildlife Conservation and Management (Access and Conservation Fees) Regulations, 2025, proposing significant fee increases for national parks and reserves.

• Entry fees for Nairobi National Park are set to rise to Sh1,000 for Kenyan residents and $80 (about Sh10,360) for foreign tourists.
• The KWS aims to close a Sh12 billion annual funding gap, being the first fee review in 18 years.
• Exemptions are proposed for licensed guides, children under five, senior citizens over 70, and persons with disabilities.
