President William Ruto has donated Ksh 1 million to the family of Susan Nabwire, who was killed by her ex-police officer husband in Pipeline, Nairobi, on August 13. The donation is intended to establish an educational trust fund for their one-year-old daughter.

• The donation was announced by Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris at Nabwire's burial in Busia on Saturday, September 13.
• Passaris urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to expedite investigations into the murder.
• Nabwire's husband, a 44-year-old former police officer, allegedly murdered her with an axe and knife, then sexually assaulted their house help, on August 13.
• The suspect was arrested on August 26 and is being held at the Embakasi Police Station.
