• The current teachers' medical scheme costs Ksh. 117,000 per inpatient visit, higher than the market average of Ksh. 100,000 and Ksh. 98,000 for civil servants.
• President Ruto oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) allocating 20 percent of all Affordable Housing units to teachers.
• The government plans to hire an additional 100,000 teachers by January and will double the budget for teacher promotions to Ksh. 2 billion annually, benefiting 50,000 teachers.
