The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has refuted online claims that construction of an eco-tourism site in the Ngong Road forest block has resumed. The KFS labeled circulating videos and photos as false and intended to mislead the public, confirming no ongoing construction.

The KFS stated on Monday, September 15, via its official X account, that "This post is completely false and was issued with malicious intent."
The KFS also denied claims of other security groups operating within the forest, stressing that only its forest rangers provide security.
Construction of the eco-camp was suspended in May due to public uproar, despite the KFS insisting all necessary legal procedures and approvals were followed, aligning with the Ngong Road Forest Green Master Plan.
