Kenyan musician Brown Mauzo (born Frederick Mutinda) has officially announced his bid to contest for the Kileleshwa ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in the 2027 general elections.

• Brown Mauzo declared his political ambitions via an Instagram post yesterday, following a tease about a "big announcement".
• He expressed that he is ready to serve the people of Kileleshwa, stating that their voice has always driven him.
• The musician will potentially challenge the incumbent MCA, Robert Alai, who is also expected to defend his seat.
