Following its commissioning by President William Ruto, the Kenya Railways Corporation has released the fares and schedule for the new Mombasa Commuter Rail Service. The service will link Mombasa Terminus to Mombasa Railway Station in the CBD, with a stop at Miritini, costing Ksh50 per ride.

• The service will offer nine trips daily: five from the terminus to Mombasa CBD and four in the opposite direction.
• Fares for the service between Mombasa Terminus and Mombasa Railway Station are set at Ksh50.
• The schedule is synchronized with the arrival and departure times of the Madaraka Express connecting Nairobi to Mombasa.
