Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has denied claims that she is a spy for the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), following allegations that she was secretly sharing opposition information with the party.

• Wamuchomba stated the controversy arose after she condoled with Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah's family.
• She challenged accusers to provide video evidence of Ichung'wah making such claims, asserting she has become a victim of compassion.
• The MP clarified her visit was to support Ichung'wah's sister after her father's death, emphasizing she will not be bullied into supporting political factions she does not believe in.
• Wamuchomba is also a prominent member of Kenya Moja, an emerging opposition movement.
