In the third leg of the National Boxing League in Nakuru, Kenya Defence Forces bantamweight boxer Dennis Muthama once again defeated reigning national champion Shaffi Bakari of Kenya Police.

• Muthama secured victory via a split points' decision, reaffirming his previous win against Bakari in Mombasa.
• 88 boxers (78 men and 10 women) are participating in the Nakuru championships.
• Kenya Prisons Boxing Club, after missing the first leg, vowed to compete in the remaining legs in Nanyuki and Kisumu, fielding eight boxers in Nakuru.
