The family of a 13-year-old schoolgirl in Homa Bay is demanding justice after she was raped, murdered, and had acid poured on her face and private parts. Her body was found on Tuesday after she went missing on Monday afternoon while walking home from school.

• The victim was a Grade Seven pupil at Kamsama Comprehensive Primary School in Mbita, Homa Bay County.
• Her father, Silas Otiko, stated the family is traumatized, and her siblings are afraid to attend school.
• Police confirmed acid was used and preliminary investigations suggest she was defiled before being killed, as reported by Mbita Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner Peter Mutiso.
