BrighterMonday Kenya and the Mastercard Foundation have launched the Generation Kazi Program in the North Rift region to combat youth unemployment, aiming to benefit at least 2,000 young job seekers.

39 percent of Kenyans aged 18 to 35 are unemployed or underemployed.
Sarah Ndegwa, Managing Director, BrighterMonday Kenya, emphasized equipping youth with practical skills and matching them with hiring organizations.
The program will prioritize inclusive hiring, targeting women, persons with disabilities, and internally displaced persons, also introducing digital and AI-driven career tools.
