The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has pledged to secure victory in all upcoming by-elections where it has candidates, aiming to strengthen its representation ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party is celebrating 20 years of operation and plans to launch a leadership academy.

• ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga stated the party aims to win MCA elections in Turkana, Samburu, Nyamira, Narok and Garissa.
• The goal is to increase ODM's MCA count from 473 in 2022 to 600 by 2027.
• The by-elections are slated for November 27, 2025, and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will conduct 24 of them.
• ODM plans to launch the Raila Odinga Academy of Leadership during an upcoming youth event in Mombasa.
• Political parties must submit candidate names by Wednesday, September 17, and public officers intending to contest must resign within seven days of the notice.
