China's J-20 fifth-generation fighter jet possesses exceptional stealth capabilities, allowing it to easily penetrate enemy air-defense networks, according to Deputy Chief Designer Gong Feng of the Chengdu Aircraft Design and Research Institute.
- The J-20 has an extremely low radar signature and tremendously good infrared characteristics, making it difficult to detect.
- Gong Feng highlighted its strong combat prowess, including a very long flight range and an advanced active phased array radar with a target detection range far exceeding fourth-generation jets.
- The J-20 can team up with early-warning and unmanned planes to form a combat system and has three models, including the upgraded J-20A and the twin-seat J-20S.
