The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) has instituted a ban on staff and port users from taking photos and videos within the Port of Mombasa and other KPA facilities without explicit permission. This directive aims to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive operational information, citing international security practices.

• Tony Kibwana, Security Services Manager at KPA, stated the ban aligns with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
• The ban followed a viral video showing a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft at the port, a craft reportedly to be loaded onto a naval ship.
• The KPA also announced recent operational adjustments, including CMA CGM operating independently with a new Kilima Service shipping route.
