The Kenyan government has assured teachers and police officers that they will continue to receive quality healthcare services under the Social Health Authority (SHA), despite escalating tensions between private hospitals and the SHA.

• A high-level strategic meeting involving SHA, the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), and the Kenya Association of Private Hospitals (KAPH) established a new working arrangement.
• The SHA committed to maintaining quality healthcare delivery and guaranteeing continued access to treatment for public officers by ensuring consistent budgetary allocations for payments.
• The Rural & Urban Private Hospitals Association of Kenya (RUPHA), led by chairperson Dr. Brian Lishenga, had threatened to deny services due to Ksh10.6 billion in outstanding claims.
