Kenya's National Police Service (NPS) announced that 27 more illegal firearms, including AK-47 and G3 rifles, were surrendered in Tot, Elgeyo Marakwet County, as part of the ongoing voluntary disarmament drive in the Kerio Valley. This latest surrender brings the total number of illegal firearms recovered under Operation Rudisha Bunduki to 232.

• A total of 232 illegal firearms and 1,595 rounds of ammunition have been recovered under Operation Rudisha Bunduki.
• The firearms were surrendered through the cooperation of community members and local Peace Committees in areas including Ketut and Endo.
• The National Police Service (NPS) commended local leaders, elders, and residents for their goodwill and cooperation in fostering peace and security.
