Members of Parliament are questioning the Government Advertising Agency (GAA) over an "irregular" expenditure of Ksh9 million weekly paid to a single local newspaper for advertising the MyGov publication. Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke defended the spending, claiming significant savings compared to a previous contract.

• PS Isaboke stated the new contract saved the government Ksh15.5 million weekly, representing a 63.26 percent saving, and an overall saving of Ksh758 million.
