Deputy President Kindiki made these remarks during the Taita Taveta County Economic Empowerment event in Wundanyi town.
The government plans to revive the 66km Taveta-Njukini-Rombo-Ilasit road, connecting Taita Taveta and Kajiado Counties, at a cost of Sh8.4 billion, with completion aimed for 2027.
Taita Taveta County is also benefiting from Sh770 million allocated for last-mile electricity connection to 8,500 households, with a promise to increase funding to Sh1 billion for 10,000 homes.
