The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has confirmed its readiness for by-elections scheduled for November 27, 2025, following the allocation of necessary funds from the National Treasury.

• Erastus Edung Ethekon, chairperson of IEBC, assured that all preparations for the mini polls are in top gear.
• The announcement was made during a consultative meeting with representatives from 91 political parties at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County.
• An MOU was signed by IEBC, the political parties liaison committee, and the registrar of political parties to guide future engagements.
