The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) initiated a continuous voter registration drive on September 29, 2025, starting in Kajiado County, in preparation for the 2027 General Elections.

• The IEBC aims to register 6.3 million new voters and facilitate transfers, with registration requiring an original national identity card or valid Kenyan passport at constituency IEBC offices and all Huduma Centres nationwide.
• IEBC Commissioner Alutalala Mukhwana confirmed the resumption of continuous voter registration, emphasizing its constitutional mandate.
• The Kenya Integrated Elections Management System (KIEMS) kits will be used, scanning and capturing voters' biodata accurately and ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
