Kenya is set to host the inaugural Africa EV Mobility Expo at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi from December 4–6, 2025, positioning itself as a regional hub for electric mobility.

The government plans to exempt the next 6,000 locally manufactured EVs from taxation to reduce acquisition costs.
Kenya currently has over 4,000 electric vehicles, predominantly motorcycles, tuk-tuks, and buses, operating in urban areas.
The Expo, organized by Global Exhibitions Africa and MIE Groups, will include exhibitions, B2B matchmaking, and policy roundtables.
