YouTube has agreed to pay $22 million to settle a lawsuit filed by former President Donald Trump after the company suspended his account following the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack.

• The $22 million settlement will fund Trump's latest construction project at the White House through the Trust for the National Mall, specifically for the White House State Ballroom.
• YouTube, a subsidiary of Alphabet, also agreed to pay an additional $2.5 million to various Trump allies, including the American Conservative Union.
• Other major tech firms like X (formerly Twitter) and Meta (Facebook) have also settled similar lawsuits with Trump for $10 million and $25 million respectively.
