A suspected land fraudster, Johanes Onkoba Boyi, sought by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Eldoret for five years, has been arrested in Nairobi City. He is accused of defrauding unsuspecting land buyers of millions of shillings.

• Boyi is charged with defrauding Eldoret contractor Martin Sawe Chemonges of Ksh. 8,137,700.
• The alleged fraud involved a 48-acre land parcel in the Uasin Gishu/Moiben settlement scheme.
• The alleged offense occurred between August 18, 2017, and August 14, 2020, and Boyi's bail application will be determined on October 1, 2025.
