Software developer Rose Njeri has gained international recognition, being named to the latest TIME100 Next list for creating a website to facilitate objections to the 2025 Finance Bill. She is the sixth Kenyan to be featured on this prestigious list.

• Njeri's website allowed Kenyans to submit views on the controversial 2025 Finance Bill, leading to her arrest on May 30, for which she later stated was held without charge and bail was denied.
• The arrest of Njeri sparked public outrage, with protests by activists including Boniface Mwangi, and she was eventually charged with unauthorised interference with computer systems.
• The court later deemed the charges illegal and without offense, releasing her after she was denied bail.
