The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested a father and son, Peter Mwendwa Musyoka (49) and Dennis Musyoka (23), for defrauding Gikomba market money transaction shops of over Ksh236,000. The duo was apprehended at their hideout in Komarock’s Nyama Villa estate.

• The suspects were linked to a mobile money transaction fraud of Ksh236,000 carried out on September 2, 2025, in Gikomba market.
• The DCI traced them using digital footprints and recovered unused SIM cards, ID cards, agent and paybill numbers, laptops, and smartphones during the raid.
• This arrest comes after a similar incident two years prior where another individual attempted to defraud a milk distributor of Ksh1.8 million using edited mobile money texts between July 5 and July 18, 2025.
