The Kenya African National Union (KANU) has officially nominated its National Chairman, Gideon Moi, as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Baringo Senatorial by-election.

• Moi's nomination followed extensive internal party consultations and discussions with the people of Baringo.
• Gideon Moi previously served as Baringo Senator and expressed gratitude for the continued support.
• The by-election became necessary after the death of sitting Baringo Senator, William Cheptumo, on February 16, this year.
