Kaluma Boy, the 17-year-old TikToker who gained viral fame caring for his ailing father, has been awarded a full scholarship to the East African University, as announced by Bishop Ben Kamau (also known as Muthee Kiengei) during a Thanksgiving Service at JCM Church in Ruiru.

Kaluma Boy will pursue a course in Sales and Marketing with a focus on digital marketing.
The scholarship was confirmed by Dr. Christopher Mutembei, the Vice Chancellor of the East African University.
This announcement follows a week where thousands of TikTokers and other Kenyans of goodwill visited Kaluma's father in Othaya, Nyeri, after Kaluma's TikTok posts highlighted his daily caregiving.
