The Narok County government has banned food hawking across the entire county and ordered the closure of all hotels in Kilgoris town following a cholera outbreak. The outbreak has claimed four lives and left at least 20 people undergoing treatment.

• 31 cases of cholera have been reported in Kilgoris, Shankoe, and Lorgorian wards.
• Health Chief Officer Lucy Kashu stated that all hotel operations and food hawking must halt until the disease is suppressed.
• The county is conducting an intense awareness campaign, emphasizing preventative measures like frequent handwashing, and has trained Community Health Promoters.
