The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued an "alarming" warning about a new wave of nicotine addiction fueled by e-cigarettes, with millions of children now addicted to vaping.

• WHO reported that children are on average nine times more likely than adults to vape in countries with available data.
• According to the WHO's first global estimate, over 100 million people are vaping, including at least 15 million children aged 13 to 15.
• WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the tobacco industry is "aggressively targeting young people" with new nicotine products as global tobacco use declines.
