These cyber attacks trick individuals into revealing sensitive information through deceptive links, emails, and messages disguised as authentic communications.

• Scammers use tactics like enticing offers of "unlimited talk time" or threatening language such as "Your account will be closed after 24 hours" to solicit information.
• The DCI advises Kenyans to avoid clicking suspicious links or downloading attachments from unknown sources.
• This warning follows an earlier alert from October 2, urging better password management to combat rising cybercrime, as more than 70% of cyber attacks are due to weak passwords.
