Families in Nairobi’s Kayole estate are demanding justice after two pupils died when concrete blocks from a neighboring construction site collapsed onto the Emmanuel New Life Learning Centre. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the owner of the ill-fated building as investigations begin.

• Two pupils, Ashley Joy and Liz Wambui, died instantly, with two others critically injured and hospitalized at Kenyatta National Hospital.
• The collapsing concrete blocks were from a building still under construction next to the school.
• Officials from various government agencies, including the Njiru sub-county DCI boss, visited the scene to conduct a fact-finding mission and record statements.
