Drivers and traders are frustrated by deplorable infrastructure and endless congestion at the Busia One Stop Border Post (OSBP). The Senate National Cohesion, Integration and Equal Opportunities Committee raised concerns about mismanagement and poor facilities, including travelers being charged to access public toilets.

• Committee Chair Mohammed Chute directed KRA to terminate the private arrangement for toilet management within three days.
• Truck drivers face issues like mugging, forced bribes from Ugandan authorities, and limited parking space that can only accommodate about 40 trucks at a time.
