Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power interruptions across several Kenyan counties for Thursday, October 9, 2025, to facilitate crucial network upgrades.

• The outages are primarily scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in most affected regions.
• Counties impacted include Nairobi, Machakos, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Kakamega, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, and Kiambu.
• Specific areas within Nairobi affected are parts of Mombasa Road and Kitsuru; Matuu Town and environs in Machakos; and Kikuyu Town and YMCA areas in Kiambu, among many others.
