Talks aimed at ending the ongoing lecturers' strike have stalled, with lecturers demanding the full fulfillment of their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) while the Ministry of Education and the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) trade blame over the outstanding amount.

• Lecturers are demanding Ksh.7.9 billion as per the 2017–2021 CBA, rejecting lower offers.
• Education CS Migos Ogamba claims the outstanding amount is Ksh.624 million, while Treasury CS John Mbadi points to a "lack of understanding" between the Ministry of Education and the SRC.
• The strike has entered its 21st day and failure to reach an agreement could extend it into its fourth week.
