Over 150 companies in Kenya are facing dissolution by the end of the year, with the Registrar of Companies announcing that 81 firms have filed for self-dissolution and could be deregistered if no objections are raised within three months.

On October 3, 2025, 109 companies were already removed from the register, as stated by Deputy Registrar of Companies Hiram Gachugi.
Prior to this, 74 firms were set for deregistration by November 2025, and 78 additional companies have received dissolution notices.
Registrar of Companies Joyce Koech revealed that 202 companies officially closed nationwide as of January 3, 2025, with another 116 businesses put on notice for intended self-dissolution.
